RV Breakdown !!!

This was not a good day, we left Sheridan WY this morning heading to Spearfish SD. We stopped at a rest stop just east of Sundance WY to stretch the legs and walk the dogs.

When we pulled out to leave we had no power steering, luckily we were still within the rest stop and they have  a nice circle and we were able to return to the RV/Truck parking without to much hassle.  Wayne called our Workhorse tow service and they said they would have a tow truck sent out. Well it took 3 1/2 hours for them to show up (lucky we were at the rest stop and not on the Hwy) we were told by Workhorse the closest authorized Workhorse dealer was in Rapid City SD so that’s where they took us, Rapid Chevrolet Truck Service. We are still under warranty until 8/29/10 Remember we are a rear engine gas UFO - We could see that we had a broken belt hanging down in the back. The tow driver believes we have a frozen AC compressor, lets hope that’s it and they have the parts in stock. Let’s also hope that it is and not something with the fan clutch like we had in 2008.

We are spending the night in the parking lot of the repair shop waiting for them to open in the morning. It is on a main street and the lights are all lit up so we feel safe.  They told Workhorse they would start on it first thing in the morning.
