PENDLETON WOOLEN MILL (Pendleton OR)

We had another night of pouring rain and was very grateful that it stopped as we were getting up and we ended up with a fairly nice day – everyone has been asking why we didn’t bring the CA sunshine with us.  I guess it’s because it’s been raining in CA too.  We are so ready for some warm and sunny weather.

Today we visited and toured the Pendleton Woolen Mill where they made blankets and the famous men’s shirt.  We were shown the spools of wool, the spinning, the weaving and the hand mending of the flaws in the fabric. If they aren’t able to repair the flaws then they are sold as 2nd’s.
