America's favorite sport - BASEBALL!!!!!
Our summer plans were to take our 12 year old grandson Ty with us as soon as school was out on June 5th, and travel the southern states to a family reunion in Oklahoma. Unfortunately the reunion was canceled due to a death in the Oklahoma family hosting the reunion. So plans changed to take a trip to Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana.
Well, Ty was chosen to be on the 12 yr old All Star baseball team this year - And being the baseball lover that he is he chose to stay and play the All Star circuit instead of going on the trip. Then our dilemma was do we go without him or do we delay our trip and watch him play the games. We decided to delay our trip and attend his games. He loves having his family & friends cheering him on. July 11th-18th is the Cal-Ripken State All Star tournament in Elk Grove and Ty's team will be going.
Once Ty's team has either won or is out of the tournament we will be leaving on a shortened 2 1/2 week version of our trip, going to Oregon and hopefully Washington.
