Cascade Locks, Oregon

July 21st - 24th We stayed at the KOA in Cascade Locks OR on the Columbia River Gorge. The park is an older park with many tall pine trees, we had site 74 which was plenty long for the RV and the car. The park was very clean and the people were all very friendly.

We purchased a fresh Salmon at the docks and BBQ it that night - It was soooo good, there is nothing better than fresh Salmon

While in Cascade Locks we visited the Multnomah Falls, Horsetail Falls, the Fish Hatchery, and the Bonneville Dam & Lock. While at the locks we were fortunate to see the Sternwheeler Paddle Boat go through. It was very interesting to see how the whole process worked instead of just trying to imagine it.

On our last day Sean's sister Mary and baby Dominic drove over from Portland to visit which was nice, we had not seen her in quite awhile and had never seen Dominic who is now walking. Afterwards we took a 2 hour ride on the Sternwheeler down the Columbia River Gorge which was really fun and interesting. We saw the platforms the Native American Indian fisherman have built on the river’s edge which they fish from with nets and we saw a few of them tossing in their nets and pulling up the net with fish in it.

The morning of the 24th we were on the move and headed south to the Rogue River....

That's it for now more Later......
