Day 2 – Eureka CA

Yahoo, we woke up to clear skies this morning!! The temp was still cool but that’s ok we didn’t have rain.

The day started off with coffee and a group meeting about our weekend events while we are here.  We then went down to the Harbor and had lunch at the “Cafe Waterfront” which was very good,  I ordered a Turkey & cranberry sandwich that came with fries after they brought my plate our friend Chuck reminded me to ask if the fries were cooked in the same oil as the shellfish they also have on the menu – Well sure enough they are so since I’m allergic to shellfish I was not able to eat them. Oh well it saved my waistline a little.   Thank You Chuck for reminding me to ask.

Next, we took a Harbor Cruise on the “Madaket” which is the oldest passenger carrying vessel in continuous service in the US. She will be 100 yrs old on June 6th.  They took us on an 8 mile cruise along the main attractions of the waterfront
